Answer everything about your actual craft yourself. You are the subject-matter expert on what you deliver — your service, your pricing, your capacity — and officers expect you to speak to that directly.
For paperwork, certifications, or forms you do not recognize, the program teaches a simple move: say you have a person responsible for that, and bring your mentor into the call to handle it, exactly as a team member would. The program deliberately advises against trying to master proposal paperwork yourself — every agency and every solicitation has its own submission guidance, so the packaging skill barely transfers from one bid to the next.
Contracting officers respond well to this arrangement. They are busy, they prefer not to teach vendors the basics, and a vendor backed by people who know the process means fewer mistakes and lower audit risk for the agency. Meanwhile, you are coached to spend your time where it compounds: your craft, local networking events, and chamber of commerce connections.
