The fee exists for a specific reason: one-on-ones used to be free, but the same few people were booking multiple sessions a day and crowding everyone else out, and free bookings led to no-shows. The fee creates accountability and keeps mentor time available for everyone.
The guidance is simple — do not book a paid session for questions that are already answered in the community, courses, or recordings, and bring anything non-confidential to one of the frequent live calls at no cost instead. Reserve one-on-ones for private matters or decisions specific to your business.
Note that a surface-level review of opportunities you send your mentor is always free; the paid consultation applies to dedicated private strategy time.
